Friendly and welcoming staff. Especially a lady called Tamsin who checked us in and was very helpful. We enjoyed breakfast. Could do with a hairdryer in the room though.
The location was excellent. Good base for Padstow and so many other places. Parking good however poorly lit on entering at night. The shower head kept pivoting and spraying the walls. The bathroom floor was so creaky you wake up your partner. The other rooms sounded the same. It a needs a good update overall. Customer service was excellent and it smelt fresh in the corridors. The rooms were spotlessly clean. The outside area leading to the Victoria Inn could do with a spruce up. It's all a bit tired hence the 3 stars but to honest I cannot fault its location and price or service Really enjoyed our stay.
Hotel is ok but definitely a but tired. Be aware no usb charging points unlike other hotels
Always stop overnight here on our way down through Cornwall. Staff are pleasant and helpful, rooms are clean and sufficient, beds are comfortable. Good pub next door.
Easy access from the main road. Well lit car park with Disabled parking close to entrance. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was just as you would expect. Despite facing main road traffic noise was not an issue. Good size bath . It would be handy if there were power sockets by the bed for phone charging. Great for the money. No lift so if walking impaired ask for ground floor room. Update. On recent stay was again at rooms furthest from entrance and on both mornings shortly after 05.30 was awoken by delivery drivers reversing in with reversing beaper. Less than ideal.
We had an excessable room as we had the dog. Very hot weather .lovely big fan on in the room and large room and bathroom. Clean and lovely staff. Need to pop on the board breakfast from 8am till 10 am on Sunday as we went in at 10am and 18 other people came in after us asking for breakfast but had finished at 10am. 11 am week days which it doesn't state. Thank you
I had a nice time here on a business stay. Although nothing spectacular about this lodge. The reception was great and check in was no hassles. The room that I stayed was clean likewise the toilet and bath. There was no air con and it was at the peak of the heat. The supposedly free WiFi was not working and not even connecting. I had to use my mobile internet. The mobile signal wasn’t great which makes it a bit more frustrating with the non functioning WiFi. Overall, it is where it is, it is what it is.
Firstly, the location of this hotel is superb if you want to explore Cornwall. it's nicely place in the middle giving you plenty of choices within a short distance. The staff were truly very helpful and friendly at all times. The only reason for the reduced star was for two reasons, both related to the bathroom. The first was the incredibly squeaky floor. It was terrible. We could also hear the people in the bathroom next to us. It truly is bad. The second was the shower head. The wall had a great time being washed, but it would not stay pointing at you. I had to place tissue in the shower head bracket to be able to keep the shower on me. Apart from that, it was a superb hotel for the price, in a great location
